is an American-born journalist currently residing in Berlin. She studied biomedical engineering and psychology at the University of Michigan, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2008. Shortly after, she moved to New York City where she worked at a variety of corporate media outlets before founding LadyBits, LLC. She believes advertising is the root of all online evil, and is passionate about exploring open-source solutions for supporting journalism's transition to the next generation of online publishing protocols. She loves parrots and wishes cyber cafés were still a thing.
